“Elenger has grown into the largest privately owned energy company on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. We believe Armen’s experience will help us further expand our customer base and market share, not only in our core natural gas business but also in electricity sales,” said Margus Kaasik, Chairman of the Management Board of Elenger Group.
“Elenger and the Infortar Group are one of the great success stories of Estonian capital. The company’s continuous drive for growth, short decision-making chains and agility have enabled it to successfully export its business model to other countries. In addition, the markets from Finland to Poland have effectively been my home markets for many years, so there is already a natural fit between me and the company,” said Kasparov.
Prior to joining Elenger, Armen Kasparov held several positions at Eesti Energia, most recently serving as Director of Energy Trading and as a member of the Supervisory Board of Enefit.
Elenger is the largest privately owned energy company in the Baltic States and Finland, operating across the entire energy value chain—from energy trading and production to delivery to end customers. The company serves more than 450,000 customers and employs over 1,000 people.
Elenger supplies customers with Western-origin natural gas and renewable biomethane, while also operating gas distribution networks in Estonia, Latvia and Poland, with a combined length of more than 9,000 kilometres. The company also sells electricity, including green electricity generated at its own solar parks, and is actively engaged in international energy trading. Elenger is owned by the investment company Infortar, whose shares are listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Baltic Main List.
