Elenger to bring three more LNG cargoes to the region
Elenger, the largest privately owned energy company in Finland and the Baltic States, will bring three more LNG cargoes from the United States to the Port of Inkoo in Finland in November and December this year.

“Most of the natural gas required for the upcoming heating season was delivered through the ports of Finland and Lithuania during the spring and summer. Agreements have also been secured for the remaining volumes, meaning our customers’ gas supply is fully ensured,” said Margus Kaasik, Chairman of the Management Board of Elenger Group.
“Although European gas storage facilities are less full than usual, there is still sufficient gas available both in Europe and in the Finland-Baltic region. Increasing volumes of LNG from the United States are arriving in Europe, and the continent has ample terminal capacity to receive these deliveries. In addition to ongoing shipments to the ports of Inkoo and Klaipėda, the region also benefits from the large underground gas storage facility in Inčukalns, Latvia, which provides a significant buffer for Baltic gas demand,” Kaasik added.
In total, Elenger will deliver eleven LNG cargoes to the Finland-Baltic region this year—seven to the Port of Inkoo in Finland and four to the Klaipėda LNG terminal in Lithuania. The company stores gas in the underground gas storage facility at Inčukalns in Latvia, as well as in Poland.
Elenger sources its natural gas from the United States and Norway. Of this year’s deliveries, five cargoes have originated from Norway, while the remaining shipments are planned to come from the United States.
Elenger is the largest privately owned energy company in the Baltic States and Finland, operating across the entire energy value chain—from energy trading and production to delivery to end customers. The company serves more than 450,000 customers and employs over 1,000 people.
Elenger supplies customers with Western-origin natural gas and renewable biomethane, while also operating gas distribution networks in Estonia, Latvia and Poland with a combined length of more than 9,000 kilometres. The company also sells electricity, including green electricity generated at its own solar parks, and is actively engaged in international energy trading. Elenger is owned by the investment company Infortar, which is listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Baltic Main List.
